Chicken Lunch Wrap

Who has two thumbs and loves the ‘cool wrap’ from Chick-fil-a? This girl.

It’s true, the cool wrap is one of my favorite things to get from the fast food chain. Mostly because it’s really such a healthy option. Grilled chicken, plenty of greens… and what is that wrap? Well, with a quick search over their menu and the ingredients for the wrap, I found that a ‘lavash pita’ bread is used.

Lavash pita bread is a very thin and very soft pita bread that is perfectly foldable, rollable, and doesn’t tear very easily. It holds up extraordinarily well. It’s officially my ‘tortilla’ replacement, I think…

Giant Donut Cake

My daughter is pretty much obsessed with donuts. Seriously, once a week she gets to have donuts for breakfast. Usually it’s from a local donut place, but this morning I decided to take it up a notch. I’ve been working on the notion of a giant donut cake for a while. And if you follow me over on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen my most recent attempt.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, they say. And I tend to agree. If you start your day off right with a nice breakfast, the rest of the day tends to follow suit. One of my all time favorite breakfast (or brunch) items is eggs benedict. A simple breakfast bite with english muffins, eggs, and hollandaise sauce. However, with the holidays coming up, I tend to gravitate towards casseroles.
