Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake

Can you believe that Christmas is almost here? And then after that, we're bringing in the New Year already? This year has flown by at times and at others has dragged along. It's been an interesting year here for me, and just like always, I'm happy and excited to see what the New Year brings.

Speaking of the New Year, that brings me straight around to resolutions! I can't say that I really make a staunch resolution, but I do like to challenge myself starting January 1st of every year to start eating even better. I know, that must sound like a strange thing for me to say, but even I could stand to eat better.

This year, I plan to start going more clean, low carb, and even intend to dabble with going keto. What's keto? It’s a low-carb, high-fat and moderate-protein diet that shifts the body’s metabolism away from carbs and towards fat burning and ketone production, putting the body into a metabolic state called ketosis. That's where this fabulous Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake comes in.

Now, you know I'm not all about drinking my meals, but this shake is delicious. To keep in line with the keto requirements, I started this shake off with a base of unsweetened almond milk and added in only two more things, peanut butter and KetoProtein Chocolate mix. If you want to make this shake into more of a 'fat bomb' just add in 1 Tbsp. coconut oil!

Servings: 1 • Size: 2 C. Shake • Calories: 177 • Fat: 14 g • Saturated Fat: 3 g • Carb: 8 g • Fiber: 6 g • Protein: 6 g • Sugar: 3 g • Sodium: 257 mg

Ingredients:
1 1/2 C. Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 Heaping Scoop KetoProtein Chocolate
1 Tbsp. Peanut or Almond Butter
4 Ice Cubes

Directions:

Place the 1 1/2 C. Unsweetened Almond Milk, 1 Heaping Scoop KetoProtein Chocolate, 1 Tbsp. Peanut or Almond Butter, and 4 Ice Cubes into a food processor or blender and blend up until smooth and creamy.

Serve right away and enjoy!
