The Great Steak Marinade

Skinny Whole Wheat Brownies

Yesterday was cold again and my little girl and I decided to spend the day inside baking up some tasty treats. I made a quick batch of cookies that I was less than impressed with. Needless to say sweet tooth was still not satiated.

These brownies are light, fluffy, chocolatey and cake-like.​ I ate way more of them than I should have but with less than 150 calories per serving... why not?...

Berry Spinach Salad & Lemon Poppy Seed Vinaigrette

I'll admit, I wasn't quite ready for spring yet this year. I've had a case of the springtime-blues. I'll take all the cool weather I can get here in Texas, but I can already feel the daunting heat of summer rearing it's ugly head. We've already hit the 90's, ugh!

Healthified Mexican Pizza

It's pretty rare that I eat fast food. Really. Three times a year, maybe.

Generally, when I find myself craving the bad stuff... the root of such evil is Taco Bell.​ One of my favorite bad habits is the infamous 'Mexican Pizza', with a whopping 540 calories. Which... if you think about it... that's not too bad for a bite of fast food. There is definitely worse out there.​ But, that bad boy is full of mystery and controversy.

I think I'll make it myself, at home, for half the calories and with ingredients that I have control over.​..
