Healthy & Easy Kid-Friendly Spaghetti Sauce

I'm calling this kid friendly spaghetti sauce because, I generally like to put actual onions and garlic into my spaghetti sauce. However, my little one would turn her nose up at that in a heartbeat, and seeing as how she specifically requests spaghetti every week, I figured that I ought to oblige her with something that would suite her desires!

Besides, who doesn't enjoy eating like a kid again? In my mind, that's one of the perks of being a parent; reliving all the things that you loved when you were growing up!

Though my mom was more of a Hamburger Helper sort of spaghetti maker.

She swears by Hamburger Helper 'Spaghetti' to this very day. Ugh…

Baking is the name of the game right now. It never fails, every year in the midst of Fall and Winter months I attempt to get as much use out of my oven as possible since it becomes too hot to do so through the most of the Spring and Summer months. It’s fair to say that I'm not the biggest fan of fried foods. So when my brother moved back from Colorado and offered me his air-fryer (because he didn’t like it) I was pretty excited to get to play with it. Over the last year of air-frying I have learned a few tips and tricks. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the air-fryer.

Not everything is great when being air-fried rather than deep dried. And that’s just the nature of it. Of course, the deep fried things tend to be more greasy, but they are also more crisp and tend to take less time. I’ve made cheesecake in the instant pot before and with Thanksgiving coming up so soon, I thought it would be a great time to make a pumpkin cheesecake! This festive and lightened up cheesecake takes no time at all to put together and make in the pressure cooker. Plus, it’s every bit as good as any baked version while saving you time and the hassle of actually baking it.

It’s lightened up in the easiest of ways, using reduced fat cream cheese and substituting some of the sugar out for natural sweetener; which can be any sort that you like.
