Gingerbread Protein Shake

I'm not generally one for shakes or smoothies. I think there's something mentally about a thick milk drink that I almost find unsettling. Or maybe it's that I'd rather eat my calories rather than drink them. But... I know there's a lot of people out there that absolutely swear by them (including my grandma!)

I've been wanting to make a protein shake recipe for a long time now! Pretty much ever since my grandma's visit last year. Plain old vanilla or chocolate protein shake? Psshh... we can do much better than that!

Skinny Crustless Quiche

Quiche is another perfect way to use up leftovers since the recipe is just so forgiving.

You can use basically any sort of meat or vegetable that you happen to have on hand. Don't have mushrooms? Swap them out for a cup of cooked meat; bacon, sausage, deli ham, it doesn't really matter! You could even swap them for another veggie, like bell pepper...

Skinny Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

I've not made many pancakes in my life. I think I always secretly thought that they were overly difficult and took too much time, but I've changed my mind on that in the past few weeks.

Apple Spice Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are great for breakfast, snack, or desert. They are a perfect collection of fall flavors, such as apples, raisins, spices and oatmeal.

Mine turned out crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. An added bonus? This was a perfect 'breakfast on the go' for myself, little munchkin, and visiting grandmother... which was something that I desperately needed this week!...
