Everything Chex Mix

I don’t think I’ve ever met a Chex mix that I didn’t like. And when I heard that we were going to be stuck inside for a few days with icy weather outside, I thought it would be a great time to warm the place up with some homemade oven baked Chex mix.

This time I decided to go with another trending flavor, and that’s ‘Everything but the…’ seasoning. You know, the famous stuff that they sprinkle on ‘Everything Bagels’? I’ve used it a lot in the past, as I’m sure everyone has, and I always love it. With this Chex mix, it’s no different.

This Chex mix is definitely a new favorite. It even rivals the spicy buffalo version that I made a while back. Yep. It’s really that damn good. I decided to use all rice Chex cereal here to avoid buying multiple boxes of cereal, but you can use whichever kind you like.

I also got my hands on ‘Everything’ pretzels and even ‘Everything’ popcorn mini cakes. I couldn’t find the ‘Everything’ bagel chips though, and that’s really the only thing I would do differently here if I could have. Other than that? This mix is on point!

Everyone loves snack mix and this Everything Bagel Chex Mix is, well, everything! Toasted cereal, popcorn, pretzels, and bagels all tossed together in an 'Everything Bagel' seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 6 C. Rice Chex Cereal
  • 3 C. Everything Popcorn Mini
  • 1 C. Everything Pretzel Thins
  • 1 C. Bagel Crisps
  • 1 C. Rye Chips
  • 1 C. Mixed Nuts
  • 7 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 3 Tbsp. Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 3/4 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. and over a baking sheet with parchment, foil, or place a silicone baking mat on it.
  2. In a large heatproof bowl mix together the 6 C. cereal, 3 C. popcorn cakes, 1 C. pretzels, 1 C. bagel crisps, and 1 C. nuts; set aside.
  3. Combine 7 Tbsp. melted butter, 3 Tbsp. everything bagel seasoning, 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire, 1 Tsp. salt, 3/4 Tsp. garlic powder, and 1/2 Tsp. onion powder.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the cereal mixture to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Once done, cool for 15 minutes before enjoying!

Notes:

I used rice Chex cereal, but you can use any kind you like! Rice, corn, wheat, etc. None of the sweet stuff though!
