A month or two back I was whisked away off to a magical land of mystery and whimsey, otherwise known as the Sherwood Forrest Faire. While there I was enticed to try meat-on-a-stick for lunch. I was somewhat skeptical at first but after the first bit I was enchanted. It was amazing! As a side, the meat-on-a-stick could come with a baked potato loaded with butter, sour cream, pesto and parmesan. Also... To. Die For.

The meat on a stick was a thicker piece of what appeared to be flank steak, grilled with some mystical yellow seasoning that I could only fathom was turmeric. So, I went on a hunt as soon as I got home...

It was a little gloomy here Sunday and us girls (grandma, mom, daughter, and myself) were all a little tired out from the weekend. We decided to spend our afternoon being lazy with watching a movie and eating some popcorn.

Sometimes you just need some fruit in your life.

After a weekend of cake filled preschooler birthday I felt like I needed a more 'grain free' breakfast this morning to let my body settled and readjust itself. I wanted something light but filling enough to hold me through my morning.

My first thought was yogurt and fruit, but it wasn't quite appealing enough. A hah! What about a self containing breakfast? An edible bowl!...

Healthified 'Bagel Bites' Pizza

I love pizza.

I will seriously almost eat it in any way, shape, or form. I am totally unbiased and nondiscriminatory against nearly every pizza. Unless of course it has seafood or some off the wall topping on it.

When I was younger (high school years and below), I could have put away my weight in Pizza Pockets, Pizza Rolls, or Bagel Bites. Seriously. These days I like to think that I'm a little older and a lot wiser...

Grown Up 'Lunchable'

While I was putting together my weekly meal plan this weekend, I was racking my brain to come up with some fun lunch ideas for my little girl. Somewhere along the way I realized that she has never had the 'joy' of trying a Lunchable.

A few other things that she's never had? Spaghetti O's... McDonald's anything... or a frozen meal (such as Kid Cuisine.)

So, I decided that I would make her a home version of a Lunchable to take for lunch this week at school. And in the process... I realized I wanted to be a kid again this week too!...
