Breakfast. ...The most important meal of the day, and for me, often the most overlooked one! Honestly, I have to sometimes trick myself or lure myself by way of new and interesting breakfasts just to get something in my stomach. Somewhere between my own busy ways and the chaos that rains down on the house with getting my kindergartener out the door, breakfast can easily get lost in the shuffle.

The Big Game is getting ever nearer and I am super excited, just as I always am! Game day food is a huge part of my love of sports. So the grammatically correct phrase is actually "Omelette au fromage!" but, it's supposed to be funny and it's in a cartoon after all.

This week as been super busy as I've been preparing and trying to get ahead of myself so that I could take this coming weekend off without any hesitation. Yes, I'll be road tripping about three hours away to visit family and I just can't wait!

Funny enough, it's been a week full of breakfast foods for one reason or another. I suppose that's a good thing since I've honestly been slacking in the breakfast department for a while. Mexican Cottage Cheese Stuffed Avocado Salad

This week I wanted something quick and easy for my lunches since I knew that with the holidays coming up I was going to need as much time open as I could manage to get! Light and filling salads have been my go-to lunch time meal lately. But, of course I can't have just any salad. And anything with avocado is a bonus in my book.

As we're getting into the thick of the holiday season, I wanted to step out of the box again and create a lighter take on one of my most favorite desserts in the world, a blondie! Any blondie just won't do. It had to be full of pecans, white chocolate, spice, and topped off with a decadent cream cheese sauce.

Broccoli Turkey Cheese Pretzel Pockets

I've been working hard for the past few years with coming up with interesting ways to use up that leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. One of my most recent favorites was this Skinny 'Leftover' Turkey Salad, and one of my favorites from years past was the Skinny Turkey & Wild Rice Soup.

I still have another idea that I plan to have up some time after Thanksgiving, but I must say that this Broccoli Turkey Cheese Pretzel Pocket will be hard to beat!

What's better is that this Pretzel Pocket is easy to make and de{light}ful for both kids and adults. I mean, who doesn't love a soft pretzel that's been stuffed with turkey, broccoli, and oozy-gooey cheese?
