I’m all about simplifying recipes without compromising taste. That's why I’m excited to introduce our three-ingredient fruit cocktail cake, a delightful treat that is as delicious as it is effortless to make. By combining a can of fruit cocktail, a box of yellow cake mix, and eggs, you can create a moist and flavorful cake that is perfect for any occasion.

The best part is that this cake is made without any oil or butter added, which means that it’s bit more healthy than it would be otherwise. I decided to go with a bundt pan and to avoid any frosting just because it wasn’t really needed here.

The fruit cocktail adds bursts of juicy sweetness throughout the cake, while the cake mix provides a light and fluffy texture. With just three simple ingredients, you can whip up this delectable dessert in no time and impress your family and friends with your baking prowess. So give this three-ingredient fruit cocktail cake a try and indulge in a sweet slice of simplicity!

And honestly, this cake is so easy to make that it would be a really good one for the kiddos to help out with or even make on their own.

A tasty cake that's made with just three ingredients and only one bowl! Buttery cake mix and a can of fruit cocktail goes a long way.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25 Oz.) Box Butter Cake Mix
  • 1 (15 Oz.) Can Fruit Cocktail (In 100% Juice)
  • 3 Whole Large Eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and lightly coat the inside off a baking pan with non-stick baking spray; set aside.
  2. In the base of a stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together the 15.25 Oz. Box Butter Cake Mix, 15 Oz.) Can Fruit Cocktail, and 3 Whole Large Eggs.
  3. Pour the batter out into the prepared baking pan. (I used a bundt pan but a 13x9" or two 8x8" or 9x9" baking pans would work too!)
  4. Place the pan into the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until the edges are starting to brown and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly (about 10 minutes.)
  6. Turn out onto a serving plate (if using a bundt pan) and slice to serve and enjoy!
