Eee! I'm so excited to be sharing one of my most cherished childhood movies with my little girl this week that I just had to celebrate with the perfect movie night snacks! The Land Before Time movies are ones that I watched regularly when I was about my daughter's age. I've been spinning my wheels trying to come up with some fun movie night ideas and popcorn recipes to tie into the theme and The Land Before Time characters. We're all about themes in my family, if you haven't noticed.

Naked Sriracha Turkey Burger

For a while now, I've been wanting to create a 'naked' burger. What's a naked burger? Basically it's a burger that is so good you don't need a bun. That's right. This is a bun-less burger! It sits here completely bare (except for a little drizzle of sauce) and couldn't be more proud of it.

Turkey burgers tend to get knocked on a lot with people making claims like they are dry or boring and bland. Honestly, I've not ever found that to be the case. I've always infused my turkey burgers with plenty of moisture and flavor. Today, I wanted that flavor to come with a little big of a spicy Sriracha kick!...

Italian 'Sub' Salad

One of my favorite 'sub' sandwiches is an Italian or a 'Grinder'. It's usually loaded with Italian meats such as salami and pepperoni, provolone cheese, and plenty of vegetables including tomatoes, olives, pepper rings and lettuce. Yum! It's a powerhouse of bold flavors with lots of zest and zing! Flavor, flavor, flavor.

So, today I decided to turn that favorite sandwich of mine into a salad. Why? Mostly because we're getting into the high end of the heat index here in Texas now and I don't even feel like toasting bread for fear of adding heat to the house. Yes, I'm absolutely serious about that...

'Drunken' Birthday Cake Gummy Bears

My birthday is coming up in a week, and so of course... this just had to happen.

I've been chewing on the idea of soaking some more gummy bears, since last time was rather well enjoyed by all. With my birthday just around the corner, I wanted to change it up a bit and make things a bit more festive. And what says birthday better than cake?

One of my most favorite cakes is funfetti or confetti cake; white cake with plenty of rainbow colored sprinkles. So, that's sort of where the idea of this started to come together. What could I possibly soak rainbow gummy bears in that would be birthday-esque?...
