Naked 'Tortilla Trend' Club Sandwich

We’ve all seen that new tortilla trend that’s been going around, but sometimes a girl just wants to get a little naked. I’ve stripped the tortilla out of this all together and went with a large lettuce leaf instead. This makes this trend low carb, gluten free, and still every bit as delicious. It still has all the naughty bits, mainly the cheese and the bacon!

Another great thing about this is it’s perfect for making ahead and having on hand as an easy grab-and-go lunch for the week ahead. Just make them and store them in the fridge as a meal prep lunch that anyone can enjoy guilt free.

To lighten this club up a little more, I decided to go with a low sodium center cut bacon and left off any mayo. Although I found it to be unneeded, you could totally serve this Naked 'Tortilla Trend' Club Sandwich with a light ranch (or other light dressing) for dipping and dunking.

I served mine with some fresh fruit and baked chips to round out my lunch!

Naked 'Tortilla Trend' Club Sandwich

A lightened up take on the tortilla trend being made gluten free and low carb club! Make ahead for a meal prep lunch that you're sure to love.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 Large Lettuce Leaf
  • 1 Oz. Deli Turkey
  • 1 Oz. Deli Ham
  • 1 Slice Low Sodium Center Cut Bacon
  • 1 Slice Colby Jack Cheese
  • 1 Large Slice of Tomato

Instructions

  1. Lay the lettuce out flat and cut halfway through the leaf.
  2. In 1/4 of the lettuce, place the 1 oz. turkey, 1 oz. ham.
  3. In another 1/4 of the lettuce, place the bacon.
  4. In a third 1/4 of the lettuce, place the slice of cheese.
  5. And in the final 1/4 place the slice of tomato.
  6. Fold, fold, fold the lettuce.
  7. Enjoy right away or place in a container and store in the fridge until ready to eat!
