Hot Honey Cured Eggs
These Hot Honey Cured Eggs are about to become your new go-to as an exciting appetizer to wow your friends!
Ingredients
- 24 Oz. Raw Unfiltered Honey
- 3 Tbsp. Red Chili Flakes
- 1 Tbsp. Smoked Paprika
- 3 Green Chiles, Sliced Thinly (I used 2 Thai Chiles and 1 Serrano.)
- 1 Red Chile, Sliced Thinly (I used 1 Thai Chile.)
- Pinch of Salt
- 6 Egg Yolks
Instructions
- Place the 24 Oz. Raw Unfiltered Honey, 3 Green Chiles, 1 Red Chile, and a Pinch of Salt into a medium sauce pot over medium-high heat and bring it to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let simmer for 2 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 4 hours.
- Place the 6 Egg Yolks into the bottom of a storage container bowl.
- Once the honey has cooled, pour it over the yolks.
- Cover and place in the fridge for 2-4 days to cure the yolks.
- You may need to check in every day to spoon the honey over the top of the yolks again.
- Once cured, enjoy on your favorite toast, over rice, or as a topping for anything that needs something rich and decadent!
